A Good Old Fashioned Melodrama!
Little Purity Peabody lives with her grandmother. Purity never suspects that she has no claim to the Peabody name. Silas Swindle, who is a deep-dyed villain if there ever was one, overhears Granny Peabody discussing the matter and threatens to shout the secret to the world. Poor Purity! She is much too honest to wed Sterling Trueheart, the manly hero, and she cannot stay in Roswell and have the finger of shame pointed at her. So she dons her misery cape, says goodbye to the old homestead and prepares to roam the cold, cruel world, seeking a refuge for her broken heart. In true melodrama style fate intervenes just in the nick of time and good triumphs over evil. More family fun cannot be found anywhere. Each performance begins with a sing-a-long and there will be olios (Musical numbers and jokes) between the acts. Step back in time to the gay nineties as you boo and hiss the blackhearted villain and cheer for the hero and heroine.
