Kudzu Kids 2008 Summer Camp |
| These classes provide an excellent introduction to children with little or no experience. They also provide additional training for students with varying degrees of experience. Our classes provide a professional and fun approach to theater in a safe, non critical environment where enjoyment and learning lead to personal growth. Through creative dramatics, theatre games, character development, improvisational scenes and simple scripts written by the students or developed from popular tales, the students will learn about playing different characters and memorization. A final stage performance for family and friends concludes the creative drama class. |

OUR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE
Children who participate in the arts learn skills they will value throughout their lives, in school, in work and in play. In addition to developing artistic skills, they learn creative thinking, communication, and they have a chance to practice cooperation, teamwork and self-motivation. This balanced approach encourages children to develop their unique talents and fosters self-confidence. |
| ARTS SMARTS: Students of the arts continue to outperform their non-arts peers on the Scholastic Assessment Test, according to the College Entrance Examination Board. Recent SAT scores for students who studied the arts for more than four years are 59 points higher on the verbal and 44 points higher on the math portion than students with no course work or experience in the arts……….. |
